SCHOOL BACKGROUND
West Coast Music Academy, established in 2008, is family owned and operated. The Director and most of our instructors have decades of teaching experience. We have given lessons to thousands of students over the years, and are one of the fastest growing music schools in the country. West Coast Music Academy invests a lot of time and money into marketing, developing, managing, and expanding the school. We have customer service representatives who handle scheduling, questions, collection of tuition, etc to make the lives of students and teachers easier! We have an accountant and a Director who work around the clock to make this the best school possible.
ABOUT THE OWNERS
Jeff Novack has been playing music since the age of 10. He holds a Bachelors degree from Berklee College of Music and a Masters degree from the University of North Texas. Prior to opening WCMA, Jeff toured and recorded with countless artists and in many different musical genres across the world while also teaching at several schools around the area. He opened the school in 2008 as a way to not only give people access to a musical education that was being phased out in public schools across the area, but also as an employment opportunity to the incredible musicians who make up the musical landscape of the Los Angeles metro area.
Larie Novack, Jeff’s wife, currently serves as the Human Resources Director for WCMA. Prior to joining the staff, she served as an HR Partner for such high profile companies as 7-11 Corporate, Aramark Uniform Services and Arclight Cinemas. Larie brings her wealth of knowledge to the Academy from her years of working in the corporate world in dealing with all employment matters.
